Although the depth and details of a project will vary based on the specific needs of a project, we at SCHEMA follow the "Double Diamond" model for strategy and development, first developed by the British Design Council.

For established brands and businesses that want design experts to review and examine their current offerings, we provide expert critiques of what your business is doing well, as well as where there are opportunities for improvement.

We provide design and usability recommendations in accordance with established best practices and the needs of the target audience for the brand.

These projects can take place as a continuation of the design audits described above, executing on the discovered recommendations, or as stand-alone projects to refresh existing brands.

Founder / Strategy Manager

Santiago is a passionate design thinker who spends too much his spare time thinking about how he would design processes or interfaces differently. He's a winner of the 2014 A' Design Awards Gold prize in the Home Appliances category, and his strategy lesson on user personas was published by Google's Primer app in November 2016.

After completing his MFA in Design Management from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia, Santiago worked as a strategy consultant in the nonprofit sector before founding SCHEMA.

SCHEMA came about after noticing a conversion of three trends: an increased interest in Design Thinking in the corporate landscape, a talent pool of design thinkers eager to prove themselves, and a dearth of organizations that offer Design Thinking consulting as a business service.
